A leading managed service company have an immediate requirement for an experienced Field Engineer to support clients in and around London.

Location: Greater London, Kingston upon Thames, Wembley, Ilford,

Salary: Circa £35,000 basic O/T

As Field Engineer will you be home based (Greater London) and will be providing support to clients in and around London. You will have a good understanding of networks, can crimp and terminate Cat5/Cat6 and have some EPOS hardware experience.

Key requirements:

* Ability to work from home on level 1 support ticket if no calls outs are required.
* Capable of reaching central London within 45 to 60 minutes in case of a priority 1 (P1) incident.
* Must hold basic stock (we provide) like modems and switches and be able to carry these on trains if necessary.
* Should be able to carry tools in a rucksack.
* Most travel will be via London public transport.
* Proficient in crimping and terminating Cat5/Cat6 cables.
* Able to use ladders and drills.
* Strong understanding of networking, including installing routers and other equipment.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Working hours are 7 am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday, with a weekend rotation.
* Weekend work will be compensated with days off in lieu or possible overtime.
* Must have a driver’s license.
* Setup EPOS hardware, full training provided

As Field Engineer you will occasionally be required to stay overnight for up to 2 nights for long-distance call-outs or installations, potentially twice a year, including trips to Scotland.
