As a Senior Water Treatment Technician you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of water hygiene within the organization, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards by developing and implementing robust water management systems, conducting regular risk assessments, monitoring water quality, and coordinating necessary maintenance and remedial actions to mitigate the risks associated with Legionella and other waterborne pathogens.

Quality, and coordinating necessary maintenance and remedial actions to mitigate the risks associated with Legionella and other waterborne pathogens; essentially acting as the primary point of contact for all water hygiene related issues, advising management on best practices and ensuring compliance through effective communication and training across the organization.

Key responsibilities may include:

* Conducting regular Legionella risk assessments for all water systems within the organization.
* Identifying potential high-risk areas and implementing appropriate control measures.
* Analysing water samples to monitor bacterial levels and identify potential issues.
* Ensuring adherence to relevant water hygiene regulations, such as ACOP L8 (UK).
* Developing and maintaining comprehensive water hygiene policies and procedures.
* Auditing water systems and practices to identify non-compliance issues.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

* In-depth knowledge of water hygiene regulations and best practices, particularly related to Legionella control.
* Understanding of water system design and operation.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address potential risks.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
* Proven experience in managing water hygiene programs within a similar industry.
* Relevant certifications or qualifications in water hygiene management, such as Legionella awareness or control. Technical skills for operating water hygiene equipment
* Strong attention to detail and good record-keeping practices
* Excellent communication skills to interact with clients.
* Physical ability to access and work in various locations within buildings

The role will suit individuals currently working as Senior Water Treatment Technician, Legionella Risk Assessor, Water Hygiene Consultant and be living within a commutable distance of Leatherhead, Guildford, Epsom, South London, Woking, Crawley, Horsham, Surrey, Sussex, Middlesex or be willing to relocate.
